I'm at the HSN Studios getting ready for another big craft event. I'll be on tomorrow morning, starting at 8am launching two new kits! (I hope you'll be able to watch me!)

two new HSN kits - an early preview!
I've got two BRAND NEW new kits launching on HSN this Tuesday February 12th! And I've got a sneak peek video to share all the details with you!
The first kit is a HUGE paper pack. If you've got my other HSN kits, this is the perfect paper pack to boost those kits and use up all those extra embellishments! The paper is a really great weight. It's not as heavy as cardstock but it's not a light weight paper either, it cuts like butter on cutting machines too!
The second kit is a gigantic chipboard kit. If you missed my ice cream truck chipboard kit from last year (that one sold out super fast!) then you will want to snap this one up. Inside there are hundreds and hundreds (hundreds!!) of chipboard pieces all illustrated by me just for you!

Here's a sneak peek of my brand new card making kit launching this Wednesday Jan 23rd on HSN!!

I'm headed to the HSN studios in Tampa to get all set up! I have a long day ahead! I'll be at the studio at 1am but I'm not on air until 5am! Can you say long night? I'm glad my friends Beth Kingston (Xyron) and Andrew Hiller ( We R Memory Keepers) will be here with me! At least I'm not all alone in the greenroom trying to stay awake!

ready for HSN!

A quick little sneak peek at one my new HSN kits that I will be releasing September 13th on HSN TV and HSN.com!

back from HSN!
I'm back from another trip down the HSN. This was an exciting trip because both my chipboard kit and the pop art sticker kits have sold out!
The only sad part is now they will never be made again. I am glad I bought a couple extra kits to keep as samples!I loved that little ice cream truck and the suitcase!! But the fun part is I'll get to design even more kits! I still have 4 other kits on HSN which are also limited editions. Check them out here!
When I first get to the HSN studios there is always the mad dash to get tables so you can set up your displays. There never seems to be enough tables to go around. I got lucky though. Emeril's staff who were there selling his product line, were super helpful and gave me one of their tables. Thanks Emeril's staff!!
Here's my table in the pre-set up madness. I'm pretty slow at setting up my tables, it takes me along time, and I keep moving stuff around until I get it just how I want it.
Here's one of the tables all finished! This one was for my rub on kit. Then they wheel this table onto set right before you go on air. It's tricky to have everything set up and not have it fall over when it gets wheeled away!
Here's the necklace I wore on air. I made it from one of Lilla Roger's Ruby Violet kits by Prima. I love her kits!
And a youtube video of my card kit demonstration on air. I was proud of myself -- I looked at the front facing camera more this time. With so many cameras it get very confusing. But each time I go on I try to tweak my demonstration until one day (hopefully soon) I'll have it down pat!
And the empty greenroom! Most of the day it was just me in here! But I was busy setting up tables and getting ready for each segment. the time really flies when you are there!

And right now, I'm off to the Ranger offices in NJ to teach at RangerU for the weekend! It's been a busy travel week!

At the CHA winter show I fell in love with Ryann Salamon's clean and beautiful card designs. So I am jumping up and down with excitement that she used my new HSN Sweet Treats Chipboard Kit to create 3 beautiful cards, and she blogged them, here, here and here!!

HSN recap
I'm still recovering from my exciting day at HSN on Tuesday! This was my second time presenting at HSN and I had three new kits in addition to the kits I launched in February.
I felt much more at home on this trip as I knew where everything was: the makeup room, the storage room, where to get my tables to set up and where the hotel is etc.
Here's a screen shot of me when I was on air with Shivan Sarna with my Pop Art Sticker kit! This one was selling fast. I had only been on air for a couple minutes and already over 500 were sold! That was very thrilling!
I also had my first caller in this segment. Which was fun too. Hi Evelyn! I'll always remember you as my first call-in! I still have more work to do until I get my presentation down pat. The producer reminded me I need to look at the front facing cameras more. There is so much going on with talking to the host, the 4 cameras in front and the producer talking into the ear piece -- it really is a challenge to do everything at the right time and manage to form complete sentences! So I'll be working on looking at the cameras more next time and we'll can see if I do better.

This trip I also got to hang out with my friend Brenda Pinnick, she was there launching her new line. Anna Griffin was the Today's Special which means she had to go on every hour for nearly 24 hours. I don't know how she was still standing by the end of the day! In the green room I got to chit chat with the wonderful people at Epiphany Crafts. My absolute favorite part about working with HSN and going down there for these trips are the people I meet in the greenroom. There is a great feeling of camaraderie - we're all in it together working on lack of sleep and lots of caffeine!

In this video you can see the tree that I made to hang all the wood pieces from as a display. I bought the branches from Home Goods and then I had to cut them down in my parent's garage to get them to fit into the vase. I accidentally sprinkled glitter all over my parent's garage in the process but I got most of it up again. Then my Mom and I spent all day coloring and hanging the pieces on there. It was worth the effort, it looked great on camera!

There is so much I love about this new adventure with HSN. The team that I work with to manufacture the product are the nicest, creative and fun group of people, they keep me going through all the long nights and weekend designing the kits. I love creating the kits and the product development. I'm getting the opportunity to use my illustrations and drawings in a new way and I am drawing so much more now to create the kits and that is so much fun! Working on the package design with the amazing templates that Pulsar provides, is a total thrill and something that I never thought I would get to do - my favorite so far - the Pop Art Sticker kit Suitcase! I love getting to work on the table displays when I'm getting ready for my segments - it brings out the inner window dresser in me. And learning to present on live television is stretching me in new ways.
This whole adventure has been a leap of faith and I thank everyone for your sweet facebook messages and tweets cheering me on! It's a challenge to put yourself out there where people will comment on what you say, how you look and what your artwork/products are like. And I so appreciate your support!

Tomorrow's the big day! I am on HSN with 3 new kits! I was really excited to see that they are already available online on HSN.com! I am so excited!!! What's really unique about this kit is there are whimsical laser cut wood pieces that are paired with rub ons so you can add patterns and line drawings directly to the wood pieces for a super cute look!
