happy thanksgiving!
Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving!
True Confession: Actually I think I am the only person in America who doesn't like Thanksgiving food and always ends up having cereal later because I'm hungry. Thanksgiving as a vegetarian isn't easy.
This year for the first time ever we'll be going to visit Paul's brother in Ohio for Thanksgiving. We're hoping this drive will not be as horrific as our drive home last year from Orlando. To attempt to avoid the worst of the traffic we're making a very short trip. Just up for Thanksgiving Day and right back.
The cat sitter will be all settled in with Stan and Mabel so they'll have their own company for the holiday!
Have a great holiday!

I imagine that's very hard. Really the turkey is the least exciting thing about thanksgiving for me. The sides are the best part! I'm entertaining a veggie this year, and while i'm still cooking a small bit of turkey to satisfy the masses, I'm excited to be making lots of veggie sides, and veggie gravy, and using vegetable broth in all the recipes. sssshhhhh. don't tell the carnivores!
Hi Claudine!
Happy Thanksgiving! I highly recommend both Tofurkey and Quorn Roast as alternatives for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners (or any other time!). The Tofurkey roast actually has stuffing inside that is good also. I prefer the Quorn Roast and my husband prefers the Tofurkey roast but they are both good for us vegetarians. I love either with homemade cranberry sauce. We roast either with chopped up sweet potatoes, apples, onions, etc. Yum!

this is great, claudine! i like how she can't wait for dinner to be served, so she can have her martini! i'm with you, i only like the pumpkin pie part of thanksgiving, the rest, not so much..
You're not the only one. As a gluten-free/dairy-free/sugar-free eater...it's not ideal for me either. That's partly why I will be home in my jammies in front of some movies w/ my snuggle-buddies having my own lovely, personally-made Thanksgiving!
Enjoy Ohio (and your cereal)!

Your hips will thank you!
I don't have to cook ANYTHING this year. I am making a pumpkin cheesecake, but that's not hard at all - I have a Homemade Gourmet mix.
Whatever you are eating, where-ever you may be, have a safe and healthy thanksgiving, and remember to give thanks!

Be safe in your travels, enjoy time with family, stash some good cereal in the car for after Thanksgiving dinner, and just have a good holiday!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Gosh, Claudine--you could have stopped by my place in Cincinnati on your way. We're not vegetarians, but I guarantee you would have found something good to eat here! Love the collage image you posted--reminds me of an Ann Taintor calendar! Be careful in your travels.
