Words I think of when I see your work:
Good luck in your research!
2. story telling
5. simplistic (in the most respectful way)...clean cut, primitive yet colorful...(???) :o)
I know not to creative - not feeling well so this is all I can come up with today!
I love your work and blog!
Hope to see you at Art Unraveled.
Have a wonderful day!
They are the first three things which pop into my mind whenever I see your work. :D
- is eye-catching
- tells interesting stories without words
- is unique(others may attempt the style, but your work is easy to pick out from the crowd)
- uses super cool color combos that i would never think to use!
Wanted to send these, but please don't add me to the contest...buy me a coffee and vice versa - I'll spring for your hot chocolate. I'll email you tonight to see when we can fit in a Panera visit :-)
Ok, here goes...
This is exactly what I thought the first time I visited your blog. I had never seen collage like this before and although some have tried to mimic, they never do come close to what you produce. I'm truly in awe - I love it!
Retro (in that cool kinda way)
Campy (in that fun summery way) and
Desire (as in I want some with my face and loved ones on your work!)
3 words that come to mind when I think of your work:-
and I asked my 7 yr old DD what she thinks when she sees your work and her response is -
Big hugs to you
strokes of genius!
Claudine, your art is just wonderful. Each piece is the magical border between everyday life and this special feeling when you know everything is good. Somehow spiritual. Calmative.
I really enjoy looking at your art.
and for some reason I always think of 'I love Lucy' (thats a good thing!)
light n airy
"I think if Mary Poppins taught the children art- this is what her creations would look like."
ps: I would set these adjectives all up in a cloud (like on delicious) and post to your blog.
Familyhood (Is that a word?)
I enjoy looking at your work. Thanks for the inspiration.
(I had to look reminiscent up in the dictionary just now--for spelling. I think, after looking through the list, that nostalgic is probably a better word.)
Long legs and short upper parts of the body?
Women without arms? Helpless? Disturbing.
But as not being an artist i can not really talk!
However the collages urge my desire to be creativ.
Thank You! Sorry for my directness.
Following are my words to describe how I feel about your work when I see it......(and I didn't peek - promise!)
retro in a new way
I love it all!
your artwork always makes me happy. that is a blessing, claudine. thanks for the happy!
As many people have probably already commented, your artwork always warms the heart and brings a smile.
I was almost tempted to write beguiling, but that would have made it 6 words!
I LOVE your art Claudine !!
By the way, I recently bought your second book and am looking forward to making some poppet-influenced art with my daughter.
