paper love blog hop and a giveaway!
I'm excited to be a part of the Paper Love Blog hop!
Ever since I can remember I have loved paper. I have clear memories when I was about 6 or 7 making paper dolls with my friend from down the street - cutting images out of catalogs and drawing new outfits for our dolls.... I also loved the Whitman Punch Out Books - you could make an entire little village just by punching out paper and adding a little tape or glue.
It seemed like magic that something flat could become dimensional adorable and fun to play with too!
Now 33 years later, I design printables for people to download, print and make and it still seems like magic! It is amazing to me that I can design and create something here in Washington DC, it can travel to it's new owner as digital pixels and binary bytes (sometimes as far as Dubai!), they print and cut it out, add a little tape and glue and then suddenly, they've got a cute little retro oven or ice cream truck just waiting to hold their cupcakes!

I've made several of your wonderful paper creations, and it was hard to pick a favorite. But I absolutely love the cassette tape gift card holders. I have teenage sons, nieces, and nephews, and I enjoy making these for their gift card presents. They really get a kick out of them and it's so much cuter than the average retail gift-card holder! So thankful for your creativity!

Everything in the etsy shop is so cute, fresh, and fun- it is hard to pick just one! I think I would pick the whimsical bird ornaments. I love their plump little bodies, ornate wings, and wee little beaks.

hey Claudine,
Love your shop but I don't have a personal cutting machine and don't know how much I'd use another "trick up my sleeve" or where I'd put it but you have given me lots to think about. Any way, thanks again for all you do...love your art!
Hugs,
Sandee Walsh

What an amazing list of blogs!! Thanks for sharing! I have made the Retro Ovens and can't express what a hit they are. Next on my list is the Cassette Tape gift card holders. I also think the Retro campers are adorable and, the Halloween line . . . they're all so wonderful. You're amazing. :)
This isn't an easy decision because all of your kits are just too adorable, but if I have to pick one it would be the tombstones. My grandson would love to get those for Halloween. Thanks for the chance to win.

You brought back some fond memories of cutting out Betsy McCall paper dolls in my mother's monthly subscription. Every month a story of where she's (Betsy) going, and the clothes to cut out that she would need for her trip. I would cut out the pictures in ads and make up my own story. Good times. Absolutely LOVE the oven; the conversation hearts and cassette box are tied for second place!
Thank you for your great items!

It is difficult to choose just one of your items as a favorite, but if I must choose just one, I think it would be your darling birds. They are so sweet! And, in looking at your Etsy shop just now, I saw the Halloween Party Birds—how cute! Yes, the birds are my favorite!

Gah! Choose ONE favorite? I like so many of your great printables. The Retro Oven is great. Thank you so much for the freebies you share from time to time. I use the Happy Halloween banner every year.
As a child of the 80s I have a special place in my heart for the cassette gift card holder set!

I purchased the retro over kit because we have a beautiful 1950's over in our home, but I also dream of a family vacation in a camper just like your green retro camper, so I bought that also. So next, I have my eye on the Happy Houses. They are just so magical!

Dear Claudine,
When I was in grade school a very long time ago, I remember art class, and how very excited I was when the teacher would open the paper storage cabinet. All those colors! All those textures! Oh how exciting art class was going to be! I remember putting together a 3D Christmas tree one time. I fell in love with paper way back then. And then one day I stumbled on your creations, and I fell in love all over again! I think my favorite might be the paper doll family, or it might be the little village, or it might be the camper, or gosh, I don't know, it's just so hard to decide a favorite. I think my favorite might just be YOU, for creating and sharing all of this with us. Thank you so much!!!
Sincerely,
Linda Robb

The paper wallets are a big hit with my nieces, nephews and the grands. What a great way to present a gift card or some cash!
My favorite is the oven which I have already and love to make all the time. I think my new favorite is the hot air balloon. Especially with the new trendy shower theme of Adventure awaits. Its PERFECT!!!! I love all of your stuff. Kupcakegirl@aol.com www.facebook.com/kellraeskupcakes
Claudine, I also love paper - actually, I'd say I have an addiction to it. I also love folding it, not so much in an origami way but to make useful things such as envelopes, small boxes, bags, etc to hold my jewelry gifts. I love to take things apart and reverse engineer them. I have purchased some of your wonderful printable houses on Etsy before but I went a step further and cut out the windows, filled them in with tracing paper and used battery votives so they would glow. They turned out to be so pretty on my mantel. I would absolutely love to win a kit!
Claudine: Thanks for a chance to tell you my favorite item which is the ice cream truck. Sooo cute.

Yes, I would love to be chosen to pick a new downloadable. I have previously purchase the retro oven and used it to surprise my friends for their b-days. I made pink champagne cupcakes from scratch, but the little oven in different colors was the best gift of all. I have my eye on the retro camper and the popcorn stand- love them. You are so talented keep up the creativity. Love from Minnesota. Barbergma@gmail.com
They all are so cute - really hard to pick just one. I guess the hot air baloon would be my favorite, since it reminds me of the baloon ride I took over Kenya...to see the animals below was just a dream come true. I must say any of these would be a great way to give a small gift, to that someone special.
Cool stuff, Claudine! Hard to say which is my favorite, but I'm thinking the Happy Houses would be great to have for spring. Now, back to looking at your interviews, links, etc.....fun!

Your etsy shop is charming! I love the bird ornaments, but they don't say "kit" in the description, so just to be on the safe side, I'm going to say I love the paper wallets kit the best. Thank you for the giveaway!
I love the paper wallets. I tried to find something different to give my coworkers for Christmas last year & came across this. It was a hit. Everyone loved them. Even the guys. I've read some of the comments & definitely trying one of the cupcake boxes next. Just trying to figure out which one. Czsweets@gmail.com
I first heard of your shop because of the popularity of the retro oven kit. It's still my favorite of all your kits, although I think every one of them are so adorable.
