illustration friday - cake

This is my first time doing Illustration Friday. Here's my submission!

Can anyone enlighten me - does the illustration need to be submitted on the Friday it is announced or do you have until the next Friday? I am confused. So like today they announced the theme was "cake" would that mean I would have until next Friday to submit for "cake", or do I do it on the night it is announced? To me it sounded confusing she says "the theme for this week is cake" does that mean today or next Friday? Maybe I am making it harder, than it needs to be! LOL!

It's my understanding that you have until the next Friday - I know I've posted mine as late as Wed or Thurs.

Melba has is correct. Today's Illustration Friday topic is Cake. You have this whole week to complete and post it. Did you notice that you can sign up for an email telling you what the week's topic is?

I submitted my work on Sunday this time. You will get more comments and people looking if you do it on Friday though......I just participate when the theme feels right. Love your illo this week!

BTW, my kids always want me to go to your blog to see what is happening with your animal family. They enjoy hearing about thier adventures. Perhaps a childrens book about maggie and mabel is in store??! They hope:)
